I’ve been a writer (and photographer) my whole life – even when I didn’t know it. I’ve written professionally in myriad ways – freelance magazine work, books, contract and ghost writing, screenplays, ad and PR agency copy, magazine editing, marketing reports and positioning statements, pretty much any sort of words in a row. Now, I just write because I (sometimes, mostly) enjoy it. I’m working on a fiction mystery and a non-fiction food book. My wife thinks I’m a good writer; I’ve begun to wonder – I wish I had her painting talent so I had another creative outlet. I also write for a few other websites and blogs – but mostly, that’s just mental masturbation. I’m not making money at writing nor am I truly exposing my creative talents.
